2024-25 Budget Information

  • VOTING IN SCHOOL BUDGET ELECTIONS
     
    Who Is Eligible To Vote? 
    Residents living in the Homer Central School District can vote during the School Budget and Board of Education election on May 21, 2024. A qualified voter is one who is: 
    1. a citizen of the United States of America, 
    2. eighteen years of age or older, 
    3. a resident within the School District for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the annual vote and election, and 
    4. who is not disqualified from voting per Election Law.  
     
    Voting By Absentee Ballot 
    Absentee Ballots will not be sent to every household this year. 
     
    Absentee ballots are available for voters who are residents of the district but will not be able to physically vote in person. To vote by absentee ballot, you must first obtain an absentee ballot application in one of two ways:

    IF THE BALLOT IS TO BE MAILED TO THE VOTER, APPLICATIONS FOR BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE DISTRICT CLERK AT LEAST SEVEN DAYS BEFORE THE VOTE.
    (Monday, May 13, 2024 by 3:00 P.M.)
     
    IF THE BALLOT IS TO BE DELIVERED PERSONALLY, THE APPLICATION MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE DAY BEFORE THE ELECTION. 
    (Monday, May 20, 2024 by 3:00 P.M.)
     
    Ballots must reach the office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. 
     
    Board of Education Candidates 
    The following seats are up for a vote on the Board of Education: Trustees for a term of three (3) years, Emily Olsenwik, KC Slade and Luke Morenus are the names of the last incumbents.
